Athens, Ohio ? The Ohio football team will host its second annual Picture Day this Friday, August 9, and the public is invited. Bobcat head coach Brian Knorr announced that the gates of Peden Stadium will open to fans at 2:30 p.m., following Media Day activities.

Fans will be able to pose for photos with members of Ohio?s team and coaching staff. Attendees are advised to bring their own cameras. Additionally, the squad?s 2002 team photo will be taken.

?Our players truly enjoyed this event last year and the fans who attended told me that they did as well,? said Knorr. ?We encourage parents to bring their kids out to the stadium for an hour. There will be something for adults and children alike.?

Representatives of the Ohio Athletics ticket staff will be on hand to talk with fans who have questions about tickets and about what seats remain for the upcoming season. As well, everyone who attends will receive a complimentary 2002 Ohio Football poster and ohiobobcats.com frisbee. Also, copies of the Bobcats? newly designed media guide will be on sale for $10 each.

Participants are asked to enter Peden Stadium via Gate 1, located on the field?s west side. They will be able to make their way down to field level via the north end zone.

The Bobcats begin fall practice the following day. Freshmen reported to campus on Monday and returning players are due into camp Thursday. Ohio?s first game is at Pittsburgh on Saturday, August 31, while the home opener is set for Saturday, September 7, at 8 p.m. against Northeastern.
