ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University football team took part in its first scrimmage Tuesday afternoon inside Peden Stadium. Following the scrimmage, Bobcats head coach Frank Solich, freshman Daz'mond Patterson and redshirt junior Matt Watersspoke with reporters.
Patterson led all running backs with 33 yards rushing, while Waters posted a team-best 32-yard reception, which set up the only touchdown of the scrimmage by redshirt freshman Brian Palermo.
Defensively for the 'Cats, redshirt sophomore Kendric Smith totaled 3.5 tackles and a sack and redshirt freshman Brian Hairstonrecorded the only interception of the scrimmage.
