ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio Football opens its highly anticipated 2012 season on Saturday at Penn State, and Bobcat Radio brings State College to you on Thursday night with "Bobcat Kickoff Live" at 7 p.m.
The "Voice of the Bobcats" Russ Eisenstein and network analyst Rob Cornelius host the hour long program on two stations on the People's Bank Ohio IMG Sports Network. Fans in the Columbus area can listen on 1230 AM WYTS, and fans in southeast Ohio can tune in on 105.5 FM WXTQ. The program is also available online in the listen live player on OhioBobcats.com.
"The excitement level surrounding Bobcat Football and our broadcasts are at an all time high," Eisenstein said. "We've aired these extra programs from bowl games, the NCAA Tournament and other big games. It seems fitting that we do a show from the starting point of what could be a very special season for the Cats. Our goal is to inform and entertain. The Bobcats are giving a maximum effort and the broadcast team strives to as well."
The hour long program will include highlights from 2011, comments from Head Coach Frank Solich and Bobcat players, and Russ and Rob will breakdown the matchup with the Nittany Lions. State College's ESPN Radio 1450 AM is providing the studio space for the show. Saturday's radio network gameday broadcast begins at 11 a.m. from Beaver Stadium.
