ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio University quarterback Tyler Tettleton was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week on Monday after he led the Bobcats to a thrilling 24-14 victory over Penn State this past Saturday.
Tettleton received the award after he finished the day going 31-of-41, hitting 10 different receivers for 324 yards and no interceptions.
His 300-yard passing game marked the third of his career. In addition, Tettleton's 31 completions and 41 attempts were both career highs. He also accounted for three touchdowns (two passing and one rushing) and rushed for 48 yards. In total, he accounted for 371 of the team's 499 total yards as he improved to 11-4 all-time as a starter.
Ohio returns to action this weekend as it welcomes New Mexico State to Peden Stadium for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The game will be aired on ESPN3.
