Ohio-Ohio State Game Notes

COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio Football makes with a return trip to Columbus Saturday for a 12 p.m. ET matchup with second-ranked Ohio State Saturday afternoon in Ohio Stadium.

 

The Bobcats will be looking for their first victory over the Buckeyes on their seventh try.

 

The Bobcats are coming off a 20-13 loss to Toledo Saturday evening in Peden Stadium. Noah Keller led the Ohio defense with 11 total tackles, a blocked field goal, a forced fumble and a sack. Quarterback Boo Jackson completed 17 passes for 137 yards and one touchdown. Vince Davidson was the leading rusher for the Green and White, accumulating 22 yards on 12 carries. Kicker Matt Weller nailed two field goals (49, 23) on the evening, while wideout Riley Dunlop hauled in the team's only touchdown on a 35-yard strike from Jackson.

 

OSU quarterback Terrelle Pryor amassed 346 yards of total offense (223 passing, 113 rushing) with both a rushing touchdown and a passing score in the Buckeyes' 36-24 win over 12th-ranked Miami last Saturday. Wideout DeVier Posey, brother of Bobcat cornerback Julian Posey, snared four passes for 105 yards. Linebacker Ross Homan led the OSU defensive effort with 10 tackles, including six solo stops. Kicker Devin Barclay was a busy man, connecting on five of his six field goal attempts on the afternoon.

 

Saturday's game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
