ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio football redshirt junior safety Thad Ingol was named the Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 7 following his performance in the Bobcats' league opener against Akron.
Ingol helped anchor a defensive unit that limited Akron to just 157 yards of total offense this past Saturday as the Bobcats posted a 43-3 win over the Zips.

He is the third Ohio player to be honored by the league office this season.
