ATHENS, Ohio-Ohio Football returns home from a three-game road trip to host Bowling Green Saturday for a 2 p.m. ET Parents' Weekend kickoff at Peden Stadium.
The Bobcats are coming off a 30-17 win Saturday at Eastern Michigan to run their Mid-American Conference road winning streak to six games. Ohio senior running back Vince Davdson scored three touchdowns as the Bobcats picked up the 500th win in program history. Davidson had 40 yards on the ground, but posted two rushing touchdowns along with a 61-yard scoring catch in the third quarter. Quarterback Boo Jackson went the distance this time, completing 15 of 24 passes for 218 yards with one touchdown pass and one interception. Five of his passes went to wide receiver LaVon Brazill, who had 46 yards receiving. Fellow wideout Steven Goulet also caught four passes for 45 yards. Defensively, Ohio safety Donovan Fletcher had a team-high eight tackles, with one pass breakup. Defensive lineman Stafford Gatling also stood out with six tackles, including 1.5 sacks. The Bobcat secondary was active all day, breaking up six passes.
The Falcons dropped a 28-26 decision to Buffalo on Saturday. Bowling Green running back Willie Geter carried the ball 12 times for 32 yards, but also caught five passes for 63 yards and one score. Quarterback Aaron Pankratz completed 12 of 37 passes for 167 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Dwayne Woods tallied 20 stops, including two tackles for loss (and a half sack), with a forced fumble and a pass breakup.
