ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio University football unveiled its new white uniforms courtesy of Russell Athletic to the squad Monday afternoon at its first team meeting during Miami week.
The Bobcats will debut their new uniforms on Saturday for the #GhostOut game against the RedHawks where fans are encouraged to wear white to the game. Ohio's matchup with Miami will mark the 90th all-time meeting with the RedHawks in a series that dates back to 1908.
The front of the uniform features a white base with a green brick design on the numbers, which symbolizes the Battle of the Bricks rivalry. The front also features the script Ohio logo centered on the top of the uniform along with the Russell Athletic logo and the Mid-American Conference logo on the left and right side, respectively.
The back of the uniform also features the brick design on the numbers with the attack cat logo positioned above the numbers. The sleeves of the uniform also feature a brick design.
With the addition of its new white uniforms, the Bobcats now have four different jerseys and four different pants they can wear on gamedays.
Kickoff for Ohio's contest against Miami is set for 2 p.m. inside Peden Stadium and will be broadcast live on ESPN3. The game can also be heard live on the Ohio IMG Sports Radio Network on 18 stations and in three different states.
