ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio University senior Joe Flading has been named honorable mention All-America by SI.com. Flading was the only offensive lineman in the Mid-American Conference to earn postseason All-American honors from SI.com.
Flading (Cincinnati, Ohio) was to the squad after he helped pave the way for an Ohio offensive unit that set nine school records, including the mark for points in a single season with 403.
Following the year, the Ohio captain was named to the All-MAC First Team. Flading has now received three all-league honors by the MAC.
Flading, who will play his final game as a Bobcat on Saturday in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Utah State, has played in 38 straight games. He is also a part of a senior class that has posted a record of 36-27, made three straight bowl appearances and has won the MAC East title in three of the last four years.
