Paul Grauer earned an impressive victory in Ohio's win over Bowling Green

DADE CITY, Fla. – Ohio Men’s Golf completed the second day of Mid-American Conference match play, taking seventh place at the two-day competition. The Bobcats finished their partially-completed match against Toledo and then took on Bowling Green to wrap up the competition.

Ohio was losing narrowly to Toledo when the first day of competition was called due to darkness and the Rockets were able to hold onto this lead, taking the match by a final score of 3.5-2.5.

The Bobcats rallied in the next matchup, handily defeating the Bowling Green Falcons by a final score of 5-1. Ohio golfers performed very well in this match, winning five of the six pairings, many of them in relatively dominant fashion. Paul Grauer (Dublin, Ohio) defeated Charlie Olson 4&3; Michael Lamping (Dublin, Ohio) took down Drew Preston 4&3; Connor Coldwater (Clarks Summit, Pa.) won 4&2 over Joe Cooper; John Mlynarski (St. Michaels, Md.) won 3&2 over Chris Melvin and Bradley Lucas (Worthington, Ohio) was one up on Wes Gates when the match came to a close.   

Ohio Men’s Golf will next be in action on Feb. 18 when the team takes on DePaul in a match in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
