Humacao, Puerto Rico-The Ohio men's golf squad finished the first two rounds of competition at the Palmas Del Mar Intercollegiate in 11th place overall Monday. The team enters the Tuesday's final round of play with a 43-over total of 619.
Virginia is the overall team leader with a five-under total of 571.
Sophomore Chad Warmbein (McMurray, Pa.) is leading the charge for the Bobcats with a nine-over total of 153 (80-73) on the par-72, 6,771 yard course. Freshman Chuck Nettles (McMurray, Pa.) is a shot back (76-78), while sophomore Stewart Jamieson (Worthington, Ohio) is a shot behind him (77-78). Sophomore James McGrath (Connellsville, Pa.) has a two-round total of 158 (79-79) and sophomore Tim Gusweiler (Loveland, Ohio) is at 159 (79-80).
Andy Winings of Kentucky, David Vanegas of Johnson and Wales and Steven Rojas of Virginia are the overall individual leaders with a four-under total of 140.
