Final Results

HUMACAO, Puerto Rico-Freshman Chuck Nettles (McMurray, Pa.) fired a 76 Tuesday to become the top Ohio finisher at the Palmas Del Mar Intercollegiate in Humacao, Puerto Rico.

 

The Bobcats finished the three-round tourney with a 67-over total of 931 to tie for 11th place with Villanova. Virginia was the runaway winner, firing a seven-under total of 857.

 

Nettles finished with a three-day total of 230 (14-over) and was two shots ahead of sophomore Chad Warmbein (232, +16) who shot a 79 Tuesday. Sophomore Stewart Jamieson (Worthington, Ohio) also shot a 79 to post a total of 234 (+18), while sophomores Tim Gusweiler (Loveland, Ohio) and James McGrath (Connellsville, Pa.) each finished at 237 (+21) after rounds of 78 and 79, respectively.

 

Keegan Bradley of St. John's and Andy Winings of Kentucky tied for the top spot individually with a five-under total of 211 on the par-72, 6,771 yard course.

 

Ohio will be back in action Friday, Mar. 21 against Campbell in Pinehurst, N.C.
