RICHMOND, Ky. - The Ohio men's golf squad concluded play in the Eastern Kentucky Spring Invitational Saturday afternoon with a 10th place finish.

In sixth place after 36-holes on Friday, the Ohio men slid four slots in the tournament's final round with a composite 304 on Saturday. The final round gave Ohio a tournament total score of 888.

Chad Warmbein (McMurray, Pa.) was the `Cats top finisher in the tournament. With a 76 on Saturday, he finished in a tie for 13th with a 217.

James Ellis (McMurray, Pa.) and Tim Gusweiler (Loveland, Ohio) each shot 77s on Saturday to finish second and third, respectively, on Ohio's tournament score card with 54-hole totals of 224 and 225. Ellis tied for 35th and Gusweiler tied for 40th among the tournament's 89 competitors.

Mark Phillips (Hilliard, Ohio) and Steward Jamieson (Worthington, Ohio) rounded out Ohio's scorecard. Phillips shot an Ohio-low 74 in Saturday's final round and finished with a 225 total, which tied him for 45th. Jamieson shot an 81 in the final 18 to finish 81st with a 238.

Host Eastern Kentucky took home the team title with a 27-under 837 composite while EKU's Shaun McConnell captured the individual medal with a 14-under 202.

The Ohio men will next be in action at the Marshall Invitational, April 6-7.
