Athens, Ohio - The Ohio men's golf team finished 10th this weekend at the 2010 UK Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky.
Tim Gusweiler (Loveland, Ohio) ended the tournament with a final-round 70 and finished with the lowest Bobcat score (E) and tied for 11th overall. Chad Warmbein (McMurray, Pa.) shot a 74 that was the lowest Bobcat score in the second round. The senior finished with a team-high 15 birdies for the event including one eagle and Gusweiler also accumulated 11 birdies during the three rounds of play. Chuck Nettles (McMurray, Pa.) and Paul Grauer (Dublin, Ohio) finished with final-round 71's to finish at +8 and +9, respectively.
John Stembridge of Auburn (-7) won the event by holding off Jonathan Fly of Memphis (-6). Cameron Carrico of Murray State and Brian Belden of Kentucky finished at -4 while Jack Hiluta of South Alabama and Nick Newcomb of Murray State finished at -3. Stembridge, Carrico, Belden and Miami's Craig Vorhees were tied for the individual lead after the second round completed in the morning.
Murray State won the event by holding off Memphis and Auburn by a stroke apiece. Miami, the leader after the second round, finished fourth and host Kentucky finished fifth.
