Men's Golf Wraps Up Action At Hoosier Invite

The Ohio University men's golf team posted a final round score of 305 to finish 14th at the NYX Hoosier Invitational Sunday at the Indiana University Golf Course.

The Bobcats fired a combined 57-over par 909 on the weekend, with round scores of 301, 303 and 305. Host Indiana won the event with a 54-hole total of 853 (283-285-285, +1).

Freshman Peyton White led Ohio with a t-35th finish after posting a final round 75. The Huntersville, N.C., native carded a three-round total of 223 (73-75-75, +10) and ranked second in the field in par 3 scoring (E).

Junior Andrew Mlynarski (St. Michaels, Md.) finished t-55th after firing a 54-hole aggregate of 228 (76-74-78, +15). Freshman Ty Herriott (Brandywine, Md.) was t-66th with a three-round total of 230 (77-75-78, +17). He played the par 5s at an impressive -3 on the weekend.

Rounding out the scoring was a pair of seniors for Ohio. Bradley Lucas (75-79-78-232, +19) placed 69th, while Phil Gieseker (80-79-74-233, +20) finished 70th and also played the par 5s at -3 on the weekend.

The Bobcats return to action April 21-22 at the Ball State Invitational at Delaware Country Club in Muncie, Ind.
