Coldwater leads the Bobcats at +9 after two rounds of action.

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Ohio University men’s golf team is in 10th place after two rounds of action Saturday at the Rutherford Intercollegiate on Penn State’s Blue Course.

The Bobcats shot a combined 47-over par 615 (314-301) over their first 36 holes, and moved up two spots in the standings with the strong second round score. Maryland leads the tournament after posting a two-round score of 589 (302-287, +21).

Junior Connor Coldwater (Clarks Summit, Pa.) leads all Bobcat golfers with a 36-hole total of 151 (79-72, +9). Coldwater made a team-best six birdies over his first two rounds.

Senior Michael Lamping (Dublin, Ohio) is tied for 31st after firing an 11-over par 153 (76-77). Lamping played the par 3s at -1 over the first 36 holes, which was the second best mark among the field of 75.

Sophomore Andrew Mlynarski (St. Michaels, Md.) sits in a tie for 41st place after posting a two-round total of 155 (78-77, +13).

Freshman Michael Engelman (Grand Blanc, Mich.) is two shots behind Mlynarski after carding a 157 (82-75, +13). Engelman is in a tie for 54th place. Fellow freshman Brad Burgess (St. Catharines, Ontario) rounds out the Ohio field with a 19-over par 161 (81-80) and is in a tie for 63rd place.

The Bobcats play their final round in the Rutherford Intercollegiate Sunday (April 21).
