EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Ohio University men's golf team carded a first-round 325 (+39) on Saturday in the first round of the Fossum Invitational to conclude a rainy day one in seventh place, just 15 strokes outside of the top five. The second round was delayed by rain shortly before 5 p.m. ET with the Bobcats in the early portion of their round.

Junior Chad Warmbein (McMurray, Pa.) closed day on in a tie for 26th place after firing an 81 (+9) in the first round and standing at even par through six holes of the second, while classmates Tim Gusweiler (Loveland, Ohio) and Stewart Jamieson (Worthington, Ohio) entered the clubhouse in a tie for 33rd after firing rounds of 79 (-3) and 84 (+12), respectively, in the morning. Jamieson was two under par, while Gusweiler was three over, for the second round when play was suspended.

Freshman John Mlynarski (St. Michaels, Md.) was in a 36th-place tie after carding a first-round 82 (+10), and senior Jimmy Ellis rounded out the Bobcat lineup with a first-round 83 (+11) and a six-over performance in the second round before the suspension of play to tie for 54th.

The second round of the Fossum Invitational will resume at 8:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, with the third and final round to immediately follow.
