EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Ohio University men's golf team finished seventh at a rain-shortened Fossum Invitational on Sunday, carding a total of 773 (+53) in the 45-hole event. Due to rain on Saturday, teams finished second-round action on Sunday morning, and shortened the third round of just nine holes.

Junior Chad Warmbein (McMurray, Pa.) posted his third-straight top-20 finish with a tie for 19th, recording an even-par 72 in the second round and a one-over 39 in the nine-hole third round to finish the weekend with a total of 190 (+10). Warmbein has collected four top-20 finishes this season and eight in his career at Ohio.

Junior Stewart Jamieson (Worthington, Ohio) rode a two-under 70 in the second round to a total of 192 (+12) for the weekend en route to a tie for 23rd place, while classmate Tim Gusweiler (Loveland, Ohio) finished the tournament in a tie for 29th with a tally of 195 (+15).

Freshman John Mlynarski (St. Michaels, Md.) finished in a tie for 38th with a score of 198 (+18), and senior James Ellis (McMurray, Pa.) was just a stroke behind in a tie for 40th with a total of 199 (+19). Playing as an individual, sophomore Chuck Nettles (McMurray, Pa.) tied for 27th with a score of 194 (+14).

The Bobcats will be back in action next weekend when they head to Indianapolis for the Mid-American Conference Championships, hosted by Ball State at Brickyard Golf Club.
