By opening the FirstEnergy Intercollegiate with back-to-back rounds of 307 on Saturday, the Ohio men's golf team has placed itself 10th out of 14 teams heading into Sunday's final 18 holes at the Firestone Country Club.
Bobcat junior Mark Cimarolli (Pittsburgh, Pa.) posted the team's best score on the day with a 36-hole mark of 147 (72-75), tying him for 16th place out of 74 individual competitors. Four strokes behind at 151 (76-75) sits fellow junior Grant Christman (Columbus, Ohio) in a tie for 28th.
Ohio senior Brian Bickle (Gallipolis, Ohio) is tied for 55th with a 158 (80-78) while junior Ryan Siekmann (Dublin, Ohio) is tied for 58th at 159 (79-80) and senior Brian Elsea (Columbus, Ohio) is tied for 65th with a 161 (82-79).
Ball State holds a comfortable lead with a team score of 569 (284-285) while Eastern Kentucky holds a precarious three-stroke edge for second over Kent State with a 582 (298-284)
Sunday's final round on the par-72, 7,125-yard North Course will begin at 8:30 a.m.
