WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Ohio senior men's golfer Peyton White (Huntersville, N.C.) carded a second-round 75 (+3) on Tuesday (May 16), putting him in a four-way tie for 13th place at the 2017 NCAA Championships West Lafayette Regional with a total score of 144 (E) through two rounds of play at host Purdue's Kampen Course at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.

White is one of 10 individuals competing as at-large selections at the 2017 NCAA Championships West Lafayette Regional. The low individual from the regional will advance to the 2017 NCAA Championship, which runs May 26-31 and will be held at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill. White, who opened the second day of action tied for fourth place after tallying an opening-round 69 (-3) on Monday (May 15), currently trails Illinois State sophomore Trent Wallace, who leads the field with a 138 (-6) thanks to rounds of 68 (-4) and 70 (-2), and Virginia Tech sophomore Mark Lawrence, Jr., who is in a three-way for seventh after shooting two rounds of 71 (-1) to give him a total score of 142 (-2).

After near perfect conditions on Monday, the Kampen Course played a bit tougher on Tuesday thanks to gusting winds throughout the second round. White opened the second day of play on hole No. 10 and made par seven times en route to shooting 38 (+2) on the back nine. He shot a 37 (+1) on the front nine -- including birdies on the fourth, seventh and eighth holes.

White's nine birdies in two rounds are good for fourth most in the tournament field while his -2 shooting on the par 4s is tied for third best.

White will look to make a final charge up the leaderboard in the third and final round of the 2017 NCAA Championships West Lafayette Regional on Wednesday (May 17).
