MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ohio men's golf team completed its participation in the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational on Tuesday with an 11th place finish.

In the 17-team tournament, held at Delaware Country Club and hosted by Ball State, the Bobcat men compiled a 54-hole team score of 888 to tie for 11th with Georgetown.

Sophomore Stewart Jamieson (Worthington, Ohio), in his second tournament as a collegian, was Ohio's top finisher in the event. He finished in a tie for 12th place among the 90 individuals in the tournament with a four-over 214. His best score was a 66 in Monday's second round, a career low.

Sophomore Chad Warmbein (McMurray, Pa.) finished second on Ohio's card with a 222 at the Par 70 course to tie for 37th. His best score of the tournament came on Tuesday when he carded a 73 in the third round. Senior Mark Phillips (Hilliard, Ohio) was three strokes behind with a 225 and tied for 52nd. His best score was a career-low-tying 70 on Monday.

Freshman Mark Reinhold (Cincinnati, Ohio) and sophomore Tim Gusweiler (Loveland, Ohio) rounded out Ohio's card with scores of 232, which tied the pair for 73rd. Reinhold's best score in the event was a 76 while Gusweiler twice recorded a 76.

Toledo took home the team title with an 842, five strokes ahead of Eastern Kentucky. Austin Peay's Grant Leaver captured the individual medal with a four-under 206, just one shot ahead of Detroit's Mark Sommerfield.

The Bobcats will next be in action at the Xavier Invitational, Oct. 1-2.
