HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Led by a one-over 72 from junior Stewart Jamieson, the Ohio University men's golf team carded a total of 307 (+23) on Friday to stand in 11th place after the opening round of the Mission Inn Collegiate Classic.

Jamieson (Worthington, Ohio) entered the clubhouse after the first day with a share of 11th place, just two strokes behind a group of golfers deadlocked in the fourth position. Senior James Ellis (McMurray, Pa.) and freshman John Mlynarski (St. Michaels, Md.) both concluded the day in a tie for 47th place with 18-hole totals of 78 (+7), while junior Tim Gusweiler (Loveland, Ohio) stands in a 54th-place tie after shooting 79 (+8) on the opening day of play. Junior Chad Warmbein (McMurray, Pa.) rounded out the Bobcats' lineup with a first-round 80 (+9), good for a share of 63rd place.

The second round of the Mission Hills Collegiate Classic is slated to tee off at 8:45 a.m. ET on Saturday morning.
