Men's Golf Earns Top-10 Finish At Mission Inn
 

 
 
 

 
Junior Stewart Jamieson earned the third top-20 finish of his career at the Mission Inn Collegiate Classic.

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Led by a two-over 73 from junior Chad Warmbein, the Ohio University men's golf team carded a final-round 297 (+13) on Sunday to finish 10th at the Mission Inn Collegiate Classic. The Bobcats recorded their best round of the tournament on the final day, finishing with a three-day total of 902 (+50).

Junior Stewart Jamieson (Worthington, Ohio) capped the weekend with a three-over 74 on Sunday, earning sole possession of 15th place with an event total of 218 (+5). The performance marks Jamieson's third-career top-20 finish, and adds to the third-place showing he turned in at the season-opening Piper Intercollegiate.

Warmbein (McMurray, Pa.) finished in a tie for 31st after his final-round 73, posting a total of 225 (+12) for the weekend. Freshman John Mlynarski (St. Michaels, Md.) fired a third-round 74 (+3) on Sunday to bring his final total to 229 (+16) and tie for 45th, while junior Tim Gusweiler (Loveland, Ohio) earned a share of 52nd with a final score of 232 (+19) after a closing-round 76. Senior James Ellis (McMurray, Pa.) finished his weekend with an 80 (+9) to place 65th with a total of 236 (+23).

Ohio will wrap up its fall season next week at the Xavier Invitational, scheduled to be held from Oct. 13-14 at Oasis Country Club in Cincinnati.
