Firestone Day Two Get Acrobat Reader

AKRON, Ohio – Ohio Men’s Golf completed the second and final round of play at the 2012 Firestone Invitational Tuesday afternoon. The Bobcats shot a team score of 306 on Tuesday and ended the tournament with a total tally of 613, resulting in a 17th-place finish.

Ball State claimed the top spot at the Firestone Invitational, shooting scores of 282 and 287 to finish with a 569. St. Mary’s ended the day 13 strokes behind, placing second with a score of 582.

Maryland boasted the individual champion, as the Terrapins’ Sean Bosdosh took top honors at the tournament. Bosdosh shot scores of 69 and 70 to end the competition with a 139.

Bradley Lucas led the way for the Bobcats, taking the top spot on the team with his two-round score of 150. The senior was quite consistent throughout the tournament, carding a 75 in each round to finish tied for 41st. He was closely trailed by Byron Firestone (Canton, Ohio), who tied for 51st with a score of 152.

Connor Coldwater (Clarks Summit, Pa.) was the next finisher for the ‘Cats, tying for 74th with a two-round score of 155. Brad Burgess (St. Catharines, Ontario) and Michael Lamping (Dublin, Ohio) rounded things out for the Green and White, shooting scores of 158 and 159 to end tied for 82nd and 86th, respectively.

The Bobcats will next be in action on Oct. 15 and 16 at the 2012 Ball State Individuals competition.
