Men's Golf Heads to EKU Invite
March 28, 2007 Ohio Golf Weekly Release (.pdf) ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio men will travel to Richmond, Ky., for the Eastern Kentucky Spring Invitational this Friday and Saturday. The 14-team tourney will be played on the par-72, 6,638-yard Arlington Golf Course in Richmond. The fairways of the course consist of Zoysia grass while the typically fast greens are composed of Bent grass, as are the tees. The roughs have Fescue Bluegrass. Ohio will field a line-up of Mark Phillips, James Ellis, Tim Gusweiler, Stewart Jamieson and Chad Warmbein. The competition will be Jamieson's collegiate debut. Among the 14 teams in the tournament, Ohio will compete against fellow Mid-American Conference members Bowling Green and Miami. Tournament action will begin with two rounds and a shotgun start on Friday at 8:30 a.m. Saturday's final round will also commence at 8:30 a.m. |
