Senior places fourth at Marshall Invitational

Senior Erik Herberth is the first Bobcat to earn Golfer-of-the-Week honors this season.

CLEVELAND – Ohio’s Erik Herberth has been named Co-Golfer-of-the-Week by the Mid-American Conference, the league announced today. He shared the award with Ball State’s Kenny Cook.

Herberth, a senior from Avon Lake, tied with Cook for fourth place at the Marshall Invitational with a score of 218 (73-72-73). The Bobcats finished sixth at the 20-team tournament. Herberth leads the team this year with a 71.52 scoring average. He has six top-20 finishes (four top-five) in eight events this season.
