CLARION, Pa.-The Ohio wrestling team got pins from Gabe Ramos at 125 and Nick Purdue at 174 to lead the Bobcats to a 29-18 victory over Clarion in a dual meet Sunday afternoon.
The Bobcats improved to 9-4 overall, while Clarion dropped to 3-8.
Ramos pinned Tom Gowing in one minute, 37 seconds, while Purdue's victory over Scott Joseph came in 4:55. Jake Wojcik picked up a 7-0 victory at 133, while 20th-ranked Germane Lindsey notched a win by technical fall at 141. Ryan Garringer was awarded the win at 184 by disqualification and the Eagles were later docked one team point for flagrant misconduct following the bout. 20th-ranked Jeremy Johnson also picked up a 5-4 overtime triumph at heavyweight.
The Bobcats will be back in action at Kent State on Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
