ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University wrestling team (3-6) dropped a 36-3 decision to West Virginia University (7-4) Friday night at the Convocation Center.

Prior to the dual, Ohio recognized graduating seniors Darrin Boing (Northfield Center, Ohio), Casey Gordon (Dublin, Ohio), Andy Hartshorn (Reynoldsburg, Ohio) and Nick Purdue (Genoa, Ohio).

Ohio fell behind early as it dropped its first seven matches, falling behind 27-0. The Mountaineers earned two pins during the match as they cruised to their fourth win in their last five matches.

Redshirt freshman Harrison Hightower (Strongsville, Ohio) was the lone bright spot for the Bobcats as he picked up his 17th victory of the year, following a 6-0 defeat of West Virginia's Dominic Prezzia. Hightower has now won five of his last eight bouts.

Ohio returns to action on Friday, Feb. 17 against Duke and North Carolina State. The match will held at Duke and is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.
