BUFFALO, N.Y. - Ohio junior Harrison Hightower collected his 12th pin to lead the Ohio University wrestling team (8-2; 4-2) to a convincing 34-6 win at Buffalo inside Alumni Arena Sunday afternoon.

With the win, Ohio completes a perfect 2-0 week and moves 15-2 in its last 17 dual meets dating back to last season.

Ohio won the first seven bouts of the match, winning two by fall and one by a major decision to open up a 31-0 lead over the Bulls.

Sophomore KeVon Powell (Romeoville, Ill.) got the Bobcats on the board with a 10-9 decision victory over Max Soria to give Ohio an early 3-0 lead. Sophomore Kagan Squire (Wadsworth, Ohio) followed Powell by tallying his fourth fall on the season as he pinned UB's Justin Farmer in 1:33.

Freshman Noah Forrider (Marysville, Ohio) got in on the Bobcats' winning ways as he defeated UB's Nick Flannery 3-2 at 141.

Junior Tywan Claxton (South Euclid, Ohio) came up next and registered a major decision at 149. Claxton's major decision was his third on the year as improved to 19-4 on the year.

Following sophomore Spartak Chino's (Wheaton, Ill.) win at 157, Hightower (Strongsville, Ohio) posted a first period fall (1:33) at 165, strengthening his team-leading fall count to 12.

Sophomore Cody Walters (Macedonia, Ohio) came up next and registered his first fall on the season (5:29) at 174, improving his record to 5-1.

Buffalo put points on the board at 184 as Tony Lock defeated Ryan Garringer, 5-2. Their momentum continued into the 197 class as Angelo Malvestuto defeated Ohio's Michael Duckworth (Liberty, Ind.) in a 3-8 decision that brought the score to 31-6.

Senior Jeremy Johnson ended the dual with a 9-4 victory and in the process picked up his team-best 25th win on the year. Johnson's victory was his fifth-consecutive victory.

Ohio returns to competition Feb. 1 as it heads to Cedar Falls, Iowa to take on Northern Iowa and South Dakota State. The tri-meet is set to begin at Noon.
