ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University wrestling team (9-3, 4-3) sets the mats for two dual meets at the Convocation Center this weekend. The Bobcats will take on Clarion University at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by a 5:30 p.m. Mid-American Conference bout with Old Dominion on Sunday.
The Bobcats enter the weekend in the hopes of winning their fifth and sixth-consecutive home matches. Ohio has currently won seven straight home bouts dating back to the 2012-13 campaign.
Clarion is currently 8-11 on the season, with a 2-3-conference record. The Golden Eagles enter the match, having won two of their last three matches.
Old Dominion (7-8, 3-2) enters the match on a bit of a hot streak after winning its last four matches. The Monarchs also are home to three Top 20 InterMat-ranked wrestlers, No. 5 Chris Mecate (141), No. 19 Alexander Richardson (149) and No. 19 Tristan Warner (157). They also house this week's MAC Wrestler of the Week nominee Billy Curling (174).
