ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University wrestling team (10-4, 4-4) prepares to take on West Virginia on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Convocation Center.

The Bobcats hope to bounce back from their 22-15 loss to Old Dominion last Sunday. The bout was Ohio's second of the weekend, following a 21-16 win over Clarion on Saturday.

Heavyweight No. 11 Jeremy Johnson (Broadview Heights, Ohio), No. 9 Phil Wellington (Euclid, Ohio) at 197, and junior Harrison Hightower (Strongsville, Ohio) posted victories in both matches.

According to InterMatWrestle.com, the `Cats currently have two additional ranked wrestlers alongside Johnson and Wellington, in the form of No. 16 Tywan Claxton (South Euclid, Ohio) at 149, No. 14 Cody Walters (Macedonia, Ohio) at 174.

West Virginia heads into Sunday's match following a 28-7 victory over Clarion Friday night. With the win, WVU improved to 11-5 on the year. Colin Johnston leads the way for WVU as he owns a No. 16 ranking at 141.

Johnson has won his last nine-consecutive matches, five of which have come by fall. He will be looking to remain undefeated in duel competition, and improve his team-best 30-4 record.

Hightower leads the Bobcats in falls, with 13 overall. He will be competing for his third-consecutive win, and 28th win on the season.

Wellington is currently undefeated in Mid-American Conference competition, and will be chasing his eighth-consecutive triumph.

Sophomore Marshal Willet (Broadview Heights, Ohio) replace Walters at 174 and will represent the Bobcats in duel competition for the first time in the calendar year. Willet's last time on the mat for Ohio was at the Reno Tournament of Champions on Dec. 22, and he holds a 3-2 record for dual matches.
