ATHENS, Ohio- The Ohio University wrestling team returns to action on Sunday and will compete in the 2012 Michigan State Open in East Lansing, Mich. at Jenison Field House.
Preliminary matches begin at 9 a.m. and will run until approximately 5:30 p.m., while the finals and medal matches are scheduled to take place between 6-8 p.m. The tournament will be a double-elimination event and the top-six places in each weight class will be awarded medals.
The Bobcats return to action after they opened their 2012-13 season at Virginia Duals in Charlottesville, Va. During the duals, Ohio defeated Anderson 37-13, but fell 34-6 to No. 16 Virginia and 21-12 against Chattanooga.
Redshirt junior Jeremy Johnson (Broadview Heights, Ohio) and redshirt freshman Cody Walters(Macedonia, Ohio) led the way for the Bobcats last week as they both finished with perfect marks on the afternoon. Johnson went 3-0 and Walters posted a 2-0 record.
