ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University wrestling team returns to action Saturday morning as it takes part in the 2012 Navy Classic. The tournament is set to begin at 10 a.m. inside Wesley Brown Field House.
The Bobcats will faceoff against teams from Bucknell, The Citadel, Cleveland State, Franklin & Marshall, George Mason, Kent State, Navy and West Virginia.
Ohio returns to the mat after taking part in the 2012 Michigan State Open this past Sunday. Redshirt freshmen Cody Walters (Macedonia, Ohio) and Phil Wellington (Euclid, Ohio) both posted victories in their respective weight classes to pace the Ohio University wrestling team during the event.
Returning All-American Jeremy Johnson (Broadview Heights, Ohio) also posted a strong showing last week in the Open Division of the 285-pound weight class as he posted a pair of pins and a major decision to advance to the championship match.
In the final match, Johnson suffered his first loss of the season as he fell to Michigan State's Mike McClure 3-1 in overtime.
