Ohio will look to pick up its first duel victory on Saturday against Appalachian State.

ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University wrestling team (0-2, 0-2 MAC) opens its home slate Saturday afternoon in the Convocation Center against Appalachian State Mountaineers. The match is set to begin at 11 a.m.
The last match for the Bobcats on Sunday ended in a disappointing loss in Ypsilanti, Mich. against Eastern Michigan as Ohio fell 22-14. Junior Jeremy Johnson had an impressive showing, however, defeating Wes Schroeder 6-2 in the heavy weight class for his seventh-straight victory.
The Bobcats closed out the match strong as they won three of their four last matches posted by senior Nick Purdue, junior Ryan Garringer and Johnson but it wasn't enough to clench the win.
Last season, the Bobcats prevailed over the Mountaineers 26-21 on their home turf in Boone, N.C. Seniors Jake Wojcik and Nick Purdue and junior Jeremy Johnson posted wins for the Bobcats and look to claim another victory over Appalachian State.
Fans can come to the Convocation Center to watch the Bobcats face off against the Mountaineers. The next four matches will be away including the next match, against Chattanooga on Monday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.
