MARIETTA, Ohio - The Ohio men's cross country team won the Carl Broughton Invitational Saturday morning to open its 2011 fall campaign. The Bobcats captured three of the top 10 spots, finishing the meet with 30 points to earn the victory.
Senior Matt Michno (Kettering, Ohio) won the race, clocking a time of 28:17.91. Freshman Jacob Stephens (Bellbrook, Ohio) took runner-up as he turned in a time of 28:33.87. Fellow freshman Kurt Steinmuller also placed in the top 10 as he posted a time of 29:44.63 to finish seventh.
The Bobcats return to action on Sept. 16 as it heads to the Harry Groves Invitational in State College, Pa. The race is set to begin at 6:45 p.m.
