ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University men's cross country team raced to victory Saturday morning at the Ohio Invitational Saturday morning. The team placed nine runners in the top 10 and won the event with 15 points.
Sophomore Jake Gentile (Kettering, Ohio) was the top Ohio finisher in the 5-kilometer race, pacing the squad in a time of 15:43.69.
Behind the Green and White were Cedarville (58 points), Ohio Dominican (69 points), Urbana (115 points) and Capital (154 points).
The victory marks the fourth-consecutive year the `Cats have won the Ohio Invitational. The team has now won its first two events of the 2013 season.
The Bobcats will travel to Winston Salem, N.C. to compete against Wake Forest on Sept. 20. The race is set to begin at 5 p.m.
