KERNERSVILLE, N.C. - The Ohio University men's cross country team finished fourth Friday evening at the Wake Forest Invitational.
Ohio tallied 92 points to finish ahead of Shawnee State and Davidson, which posted 107 and 122 points, respectively.
Sophomore Jarrod Genther (Canal Winchester, Ohio) was the top Ohio finisher for the second time in three events. He finished the 8-kilometer race, placing 11th in a time of 25:27.83. He averaged 5:07.4 per mile.
Senior Chase Robinson (Navarre, Ohio) also turned in a strong performance as he placed 17th in a time of 25:40.40.
Florida State won the event with a team total of 31 points. FSU's Bryant Blahnik won the event in a mark of 25:07.17.
Next on the agenda for the Bobcats is a split-squad competition on Oct. 4. Half of the team will travel Cedarville, Ohio for the All-Ohio Championships, while the others will head to South Bend, Ind. for the Notre Dame Invitational. Both races are scheduled to start at 2:45 p.m.
