TOLEDO, Ohio - The Ohio University men's cross country team placed sixth Friday night at the Toledo Bubble Buster. The four mile race was held at Ottawa Park.

Ohio freshmen Wesley Cochran (Warren, Ohio) and Jarrod Genther (Canal Winchester, Ohio) placed 29th (20:09.8) and 35th (20:24.0), respectively to pace the Bobcats.

Syracuse won the race, finishing with 20 points. Eastern Michigan and San Francisco rounded out the top three, totaling 50 and 68 points, respectively.

Eastern Michigan's Terefe Ejigu won the race in a time of 19:01.6.

Ohio returns to action next week with a pair of races. The first meet will be the Notre Dame Invitational which will be held in South Bend, Ind. on Sept. 28. The second meet will be held in Cedarville, Ohio as the `Cats take part in the All-Ohio Championship on Sept. 29.
