ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio men's cross country team took the top 13 spots and finished with 15 points to win the 2011 Ohio University Cross Country Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Junior Noah Howkins (Stow, Ohio) won 8-kilometer race, finishing in a time of 25:53.93. Howkins edged out teammate Chase Robinson (Navarre, Ohio), who placed runner-up, clocking a time of 25:58.95.
Tyler Ames (Cortland, Ohio), Cory Irwin (Canal Winchester, Ohio) and Tyler Cantley (Vincent, Ohio) rounded out the top five, finishing third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Ohio returns to action on Friday as it heads to Cedarville, Ohio to take part in the All-Ohio Championship. The championship is set to begin 2:45 p.m.
