Bobcat Men Place Fourth at All-Ohio Championships

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Ohio University men's cross country team placed fourth at the 2011 All-Ohio Collegiate Championships Friday afternoon. The event was held at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course on the campus of Cedarville University.

Sophomore Tyler Ames (Cortland, Ohio) was the top Bobcat finisher as he placed 10th, posting a time of 25:33.78 on the 8-kilometer course. Fellow sophomore Noah Howkins (Stow, Ohio) clocked a time of 25:41.65 to finish 16th.

Freshman Nick Hissrich (Pickerington, Ohio) placed 18th, finishing in a time of 25:49.73. Hissrich placed fourth among all freshman in the race.

The Bobcats return to action on Oct. 16 as they head to Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind. The race is set to begin at 11 a.m.
