Terre Haute, Ind. - Bobcat junior Kari Summers turned in a 21st place performance at Pre-Nationals (20:52.2), while junior teammate Annie Beecham finished close behind at 31st (21:03.1), good enough to lead all MAC runners in the 6K race. Summers (Troy, Ohio), an All-MAC performer the last two seasons and the current MAC Runner of the Week, and All-MAC honoree Beecham (Granville, Ohio) helped their team to a 24th place effort out of 41 teams from around the country at the meet hosted by Indiana State University.

Overall, Washington, with four runners in the top-ten, took home the women's Blue Race crown, while Alabama put three runners in the top-ten to take first-place honors in the men's race. MAC rival Miami finished 16th in the men's race and 19th in the women's race to lead all MAC teams in the Blue Races.

The Bobcats have next weekend off as they prepare to head to Ypsilanti, Mich. to compete in the MAC Championships hosted by Eastern Michigan University. The women's team is the two-time defending conference champion. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. ET with the women's race.
