Men's Cross Country Wins White Race at Indiana State Pre-National Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.- The Ohio University men's cross country team won the White Race Saturday afternoon at the 2013 Indiana State Pre-National Invitational. The top five Bobcat runners placed between 13th and 28th to finish with 99 points in the team standings.

Senior Chase Robinson (Navarre, Ohio) posted a time of 25:18.67 to record a 13th-place finish.

Sophomore Jarrod Genther (Canal Winchester, Ohio) placed 17th with a time of 25:20.17.

A trio of Bobcat sophomores finished close together to round out the Ohio pack. Jacob Stephens (Bellbrook, Ohio) finished 24th in 25:32.16, Kurt Steinmuller (Stonybrook, N.Y.) was 27th in 25:34.37, and Jake Gentile (Kettering, Ohio) was close behind in 28th with a time of 25:35.21. Stephens and Steinmuller were both one minute faster than their times from the Notre Dame Invitational.

Ohio returns to action on Nov. 2 at the 2013 Mid-American Conference Championship. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon ET in Bowling Green, Ohio.
