Ohio Runs in Green & White Invitational
April 4, 2009 ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio men's cross country competed in the Green & White Invitational on Saturday at Goldsberry Track as part of its spring season, running in the distance events at Ohio's first home outdoor track meet of the season. Freshman Tyler Cantley (Vincent, Ohio) won both the 800 and 1,500 meters with times of 1:58.05 and 3:58.99, respectively. Juniors Ridge Robinson (Navarre, Ohio) and Scott Wildermuth (Canal Winchester, Ohio) placed second and third, respectively, with times of 3:59.49 and 4:01.87 in the 1,500. Seniors Aadam Soorma (Canton, Ohio), Shamus Eaton (Uniontown, Ohio) and Chad Toussant (Minerva, Ohio) also placed seventh, eighth and ninth in the 1,500, respectively. In the 5,000 meters, freshman Dan Quarfoot (Barrington, Ill.) came in sixth, finishing in 16:15.57. The men will run again next weekend at the Miami Invitational April 10-11 in Oxford, Ohio.
