OXFORD, Ohio - The Ohio men's cross country squad ran in the Miami Invitational last Saturday, April 11 in Oxford, Ohio, the third meet of its spring season. Bobcats Kevin Kappers (Cincinnati, Ohio) and Tyler Cantley (Vincent, Ohio) posted top-ten performances in the 800 and 1,500 meters, respectively, as both runners finished 10th, while Aaron Baker (Huber Heights, Ohio) claimed ninth in the steeplechase.

Cantley also placed 13th in the 800 behind Kappers, who ran a time of 1:55.98, while Cantley crossed the line in 1:56.71. In the 1,500 meters, Scott Wildermuth (Canal Winchester, Ohio) placed 28th with a time of 4:11.14, while Aadam Soorma (Canton, Ohio), Dan O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.) and Brett Lloyd (Miamisburg, Ohio) came in 36th, 39th and 42nd, respectively.

In the 3,000-meter steeplechase, Baker turned in a time of 10:00.24 in his top-ten effort. Six Bobcats ran in the 5,000 meters, with Chad Toussant (Minerva, Ohio) leading the way with a 26th-place finish in a time of 15:47.37. Chris Davis (Reedsville, Ohio), Chris Myers (Milford, Ohio) and Matt Michno (Kettering, Ohio) placed 30th, 31st an 32nd, respectively, while Sean Kelley (Canton, Ohio) came in 37th and Jeremy Wolfe (Gallipolis, Ohio) placed 41st.

Ohio will be back in action this weekend as it runs in the All-Ohio Championships, also in Oxford, Ohio, beginning Friday, April 17. Results will be available on OhioBobcats.com.
