The men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the All-Ohio Championships in Delaware, Ohio on Friday, Oct. 10. The meet is hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University and will be held at the Methodist Theological School/Delaware Golf Club.
The Bobcats ran in the Notre Dame Invitational last Friday and posted top-10 finishes in the gold division, which consisted of 23 teams from Divisions I, II and III. Junior Ridge Robinson (Navarre, Ohio) led the men to their seventh-place team finish with his seventh-place individual showing. Senior Shamus Eaton (Uniontown, Ohio) also posted a strong performance, finishing 10th. Of the MAC teams in the meet, the men, ranked 14th regionally, were edged only by Central Michigan, who finished sixth.
On the women's side, juniors Kari Summers (Troy, Ohio) and Annie Beecham (Granville, Ohio) finished third and sixth, respectively, to contribute to the women's sixth-place team finish at Notre Dame. The Ohio women, ranked 12th in the Great Lakes Region in the latest poll, were the top MAC team in the gold division.
The All-Ohio Championships, hosted by the Battling Bishops, is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. ET with the men's varsity 8K and is followed by the women's 5K at 2:45 p.m. Results will be available online at the conclusion of the races.
