ATHENS, Ohio -- Thirtieth head coach Bob Cooley announced the Ohio men's golf team's 2017 fall schedule on Tuesday (Aug. 22).
The Bobcats will compete in five events across the fall slate and will host the 27th Annual Bobcat Open on Sept. 25 at The Lakes Golf & Country Club in Westerville, Ohio.
Ohio's fall season begins with the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational (Sept. 11-12) at the Guyan Country Club in Huntington, W. Va., marking the eighth-straight year the Bobcats will open a season at the tournament.
The Bobcats then make the trip to Toledo, Ohio, to play in the Inverness Intercollegiate (Sept. 18-19) at the Inverness Club.
After hosting the Bobcat Open, which serves as a fundraiser for the Ohio golf teams, the Bobcats return to competition at the Firestone Invitational (Oct. 2-3) in Akron, Ohio, making it six years in a row they have competed in the event. The Bobcats will then head to Bridgeport, W. Va., to take part in The Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational (Oct. 9-10) at Pete Dye Golf Club.
Ohio closes the fall portion of its season with a trip to Kettering, Ohio, for the Dayton Flyer Invitational (Oct. 16-17) at NCR Country Club.
Ohio's spring 2018 slate will be announced at a later date.
