CARY, N.C. -- The Ohio men's golf team stands in 12th place after two rounds of the Stitch Intercollegiate after firing a second-round 309 (+21) on Saturday (April 14) at MacGregor Downs Country Club.
The Bobcats two-round total now stands at 608 (+32). Ohio carded a first-round 299 (+11) on Friday (April 13).
Duke is leading the way through two rounds with a 554 (-22). After posting a 284 (-4) on Friday, the Blue Devils posted a 270 (-18) on Saturday to take a 10-stroke lead on the field.
Freshman Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) is tied for 31st with a two-round total of 146 (+2), He followed up a first-round 71 (-1) with a 75 (+3) in the second round.
Redshirt senior Tom Nettles (McMurray, Pa) shot a 79 (+7) in the second round after shooting a 73 (+1) in the first, putting him in a tie for 57th place
Junior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) fired a second-round 77 (+5), giving him a 36-hole total of 156 (+12) and placing him 65th. He shot a 79 (+7) in the first round.
Freshman Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) fired an 81 (+9) in the second round after shooting 76 (+4) in the first round. A two-day total of 157 (+13) places him in a tie for 66th place.
Senior Brady Bohl (Dublin, Ohio) followed up a first-round 82 (+10) with 78 (+6), giving him a two day total of 160 (+16) that puts him in 68th place.
Playing as an individual this weekend is freshman Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa). He followed up a first-round 73 (+1) with a 76 (+4) in the second, giving him a two-day total of 159 (+5) and placing him in a tie for 46th. He ranks seventh among the individuals competing at the Stitch Intercollegiate.
Junior Ray Kraivixien of Campbell is winning the tournament after firing 61 (-11) in the second round, which tied the competitive course record at MacGregor Downs. Kraivixien, who fired a 71 (-1) in the first round, owns a two-round total of 132 (-12).
The third and final round of the Stitch Intercollegiate will be played on Sunday (April 15). The Bobcats will look to finish strong in their last regular season event.
