RICHMOND, Ky. -- The Ohio men's golf team sits in 11th place with a combined team score of 586 (+26) through 36 holes of the EKU Intercollegiate sponsored by Raising Cane's. The Bobcats shot identical scores of 293 (+13) in the first two rounds on Saturday (Sept. 15) at the University Club at Arlington.
Eastern Michigan leads the field by six strokes with a 557 (-3). The Eagles tallied round scores of 274 (-6) and 283 (+3). Eastern Kentucky junior Billy Basham, Eastern Michigan sophomore Ty Celone and SIU Edwardsville senior Kyle Slattery are in a three-way tie for first place with matching scores of 137 (-3).
Sophomore Zach Crawford (Vandalia, Ohio) is pacing the Bobcats with a 144 (+4), with matching rounds of 72 (+2) putting him in a tie for 27th.
Senior Ben Sattler (Liberty Township, Ohio) is tied for 43rd with a 147 (+7) after rounds of 71 (+1) and 76 (+6).
Sophomore Austin Dyson (Dublin, Ohio) is also tied for 43rd. He shot rounds of 75 (+5) and 72 (+2) to give him a 147 (+7).
Sophomore Tanner Johnson (Venetia, Pa.) recorded rounds of 75 (+5) and 73 (+3), putting him in a tie for 49th with a 148 (+8).
Sophomore Zach Mandry (Solon, Ohio) is currently tied for 68th with a 152 (+12) after tallying identical rounds of 76 (+6).
The third and final round of the EKU Intercollegiate will be played on Sunday (Sept. 16). The shotgun start has been pushed up to 8:30 a.m. EST due to impending weather.
