LEXINGTON, Ky. – Ohio men's cross country returns home after placing third in their season opener, the 2017 Kentucky Bluegrass Invitational, hosted by Kentucky. The Bobcats completed the race with a total of 61 points.
All five of Ohio's scorers finished in the top 25 runners led by junior Kyle Bussard (Germantown, Ohio) who clocked a 24:13.7 time over the 8K course and took 7th place.
Following Bussard was Ohio senior Brad Miller (Bellbrook, Ohio) who finished with a 24:14.7 and an 8th-place finish. Sophomore Griffin Butler (Newark, Ohio), senior Matt Evans (Mentor, Ohio), and junior Zach Zimmerman (Pickerington, Ohio) placed 18th with a 24:43.8 time, 21st with a 24:50.5 time, and 23rd with a 24:57.4 time, respectively.
The Bobcats travel to Blacksburg, Va. Friday, Sept. 15 to compete in the Virginia Tech Alumni Invite starting at 6 p.m.
