OXFORD, Ohio – The Ohio men's cross country team has wrapped up the 2017 Mid-American Conference Championships 8K by placing fourth on Saturday (Oct. 28) in Oxford, Ohio. Senior Brad Miller led the team and earned Second Team All-MAC honors.
The Eastern Michigan men's cross country team has claimed their eighth-straight title by placing first and scoring a total of 24 points. Host, Miami, came in second with a total of 54 points followed by Bowling Green (107), Ohio (127), Akron (128), Buffalo (151), Central Michigan (156), Kent State (194), and Toledo (213).
Senior Brad Miller (Bellbrook, Ohio) led the way for the Bobcats finishing the race 11th overall with a 25:09.0 mark which also earned him a spot on the 2017 MAC Men's Cross Country All-MAC Second Team.
Junior Kyle Bussard (Germantown, Ohio) followed shortly after Miller, crossing the line in 25:20.3 to take 19th place.
The next three Bobcat scorers were freshman Griffin Butler (Newark, Ohio) in 28th, sophomore Josh Park (Amherst, Ohio) in 30th and senior Matt Evans (Mentor, Ohio) in 43rd. Butler finished in 25:28.5, Park finished in 25:31.1, and Evans finished in 25:54.2.
This race marks Park's new personal-best for this season.
